College Cookbooks Squidoo Page

Hey All,
I'm seeing that I'll have a hard time getting as many photos here of my testers as I'd like, so I also set up a Squidoo page at College Cookbooks where it's VERY easy to get their pics posted with whatever information they want to impart.

So, if you'll go over there, you'll have a chance to see what they look like and hear what they have to say about their experience(s) in helping me test this cookbook!

Thanks, Michelle

College Cookbooks With Simple Ingredient Recipes - My Criteria

The criteria I used for most of the recipes in my "College Cookbook" is that there shouldn't be more than 6 ingredients and the ingredients had to be NORMAL INGREDIENTS!

I mean, if the book is geared towards new cooks or college kids, the food items in their kitchens are pretty basic, so I really tried to stay within those guidelines.

No fancy French cooking or sauces, no hard to get spices, and no hard to complete anything in my cookbook! This is a simple, easy to complete collection of recipes that my kids and my testers have thoroughly tested out and approved!

So, for a new recipe for you to test out, go to the next post!

I'll be adding every day, keep checking back!

BTW, if you have any requests, please just email me at micsan07@gmail.com (with the words "college cookbook" in the subject line and I'll see what I can do) Make sure you place the words "college cookbook" in the subject line as I don't open emails from those I don't recognize, OK?

Happy cooking!

Welcome to College Cookbooks With Simple Ingredient Recipes!

I just want to shout out "Welcome" to all of you looking for college cookbooks with simple ingredient recipes.

Between my husband and myself, we have FIVE sons between the ages of 19 and 25, so you KNOW I've done a lot of cooking in my day. Although we have only 2 still living with us, cooking and eating are still happy moments in our home.

All of my sons have learned to cook and get creative in the kitchen and they all have a good idea of what ingredients they can substitute in recipes calling for stuff we don't have in the kitchen or just spicing up a regular recipe with herbs and spices just because!

Because FOOD is such a big part of my life, I want to pass on what I've learned to kids and young adults wanting to learn how to cook for themselves.

For the past 6 months, I've been passing out some of my own recipes to my sons' friends and girlfriends to test out. The way I looked at it, if they could get through my recipe without calling me to finish the dish, that meant I had written down every little bit of information they needed to complete the recipe from A-Z.

The feedback has been wonderful from my "testers" (more on each of them in future posts!). They've found where I left out stuff that they needed because I've been cooking for so many years, I take for granted that everyone knows you have to drain cooked ground beef before adding it to potatoes, or that you have to drain cooked potatoes (and how to drain them) before adding butter and milk to mash them.

My testers have been so instrumental to completing my cookbook that I wanted to make sure I showcased them and their interests on this site.

I'll be making sure that you get to know each one of them, what their favorite recipes are, and if they are enjoying their new found knowledge.

Again, thanks for joining me here and please check back soon.

I'll be adding pics of my testers, recipes that YOU can test out at home, and short videos where my testers can show you HOW they completed some of their dishes.

Thanks for visiting!
Michelle
